Site visits are subject to lawful access and any necessary permission.

What SiteWatch can document

SiteWatch provides factual documentation of properties, construction projects and other authorised locations in Kenya. Depending on the assignment, customers may receive photographs, videos, written observations and progress reports covering specific areas of interest.

Our reporting focuses on what can be lawfully observed and documented, helping customers stay informed without being physically present.

Photographic Evidence

We capture photographs of visible property conditions, buildings, construction activities, materials and other features specified in the agreed assignment.

Where appropriate, photographs may include dates, location references and descriptions to help customers understand what was observed.

Video Documentation

We record videos showing the general appearance of a location, observable activities, project progress and specific areas requested by the customer.

Video documentation is undertaken subject to lawful access, consent and applicable privacy requirements.

Construction Progress

We document visible construction activities, observable work completed, materials present at the site and apparent changes between scheduled visits.

Where customers provide project milestones or previous reports, we may use them to organise factual progress updates.

Our observations do not certify structural integrity, workmanship quality or compliance with building standards.

Structured Field Reports

We prepare written reports summarising the assignment, visit date, location, observations and agreed findings.

Depending on the assignment, reports may include photographs, videos, customer-provided project records and a list of matters requiring further clarification.

Reports distinguish direct observations from information provided by third parties.

Important: SiteWatch provides independent factual documentation, not professional certification. Photographs, videos and field observations do not establish legal ownership, property boundaries, construction quality or compliance with statutory requirements. Where specialised verification is needed, customers should engage appropriately qualified professionals or the relevant public authorities. All assignments are subject to lawful access, necessary consent and agreed reporting arrangements.

Select the relevant checklist below. Final requirements depend on your circumstances and the responsible institution.

Site Location & Identification

Information to provide:

  • County, sub-county, town or village where the site is located.
  • Nearby landmarks, access roads or other identifying details.
  • GPS coordinates or a map pin, where available.
  • Name and contact information of an authorised local representative, where applicable.
  • Any known access difficulties or location-specific instructions.

Important: Accurate location information helps us estimate travel requirements and determine whether the assignment is feasible.

Site Access & Authorisation

Information to provide:

  • Your relationship to the property, project or location.
  • Details of the person authorised to grant access.
  • Permission from the lawful occupier or other person entitled to authorise entry, where required.
  • Any necessary arrangements with site managers, contractors or relevant representatives.
  • Access restrictions, security requirements or safety procedures.

Important: A customer’s assertion of ownership does not automatically authorise entry onto premises occupied or controlled by another person. SiteWatch will not enter private or restricted areas without the necessary lawful authority and consent.

  • Purpose of the requested site visit.
  • Specific features, structures or activities to be documented.

  • Whether the assignment requires a single visit or recurring monitoring.
  • Expected frequency of reports.
